Fusion Tournament Finals Recap

By Papawapato

Firstkiller's speed and LionBlaze's defense was something to behold

In the end Firstkiller's offense edged out Lionblaze's top notch defense often enough to win. I think these guys are closer than the results suggest. Nevertheless, Firstkiller is not maining one-on-one as he has in the past so that's not a knock on him. Firstkiller may have the best mechanics in the game and his speed is, likewise, unrivaled

Fusion Tounament or Rocky I?

With LionBLaze playing the role of Rocky. LionBlaze put up a valiant effort. Top level one's is the best Rocket League to watch. These guys had beautiful exchanges in mid-field fighting to gain the slightest edge.

LionBlaze flashed his mechanics and really made me believe he had a chance. His air dribble offense was on point today. Introducing mix-ups and bumps to keep First honest all series long.

The creativity of Firstkiller wins the day

In the end, Firstkiller's broad understanding of earning goals "outside the box" gave him the edge. Not just flashy shots, but bumps and angle changes made all the difference. In any given scenario, First seems to have a broader spectrum of potential goals to choose from and he identifies unconvention high percentage plays better than anyone I've seen (excluding prime Fairy Peak).

In the end this proved to be too much for LionBlaze.

Even without mainstays like Squishy Muffins, NA delivered amazing matchups
